Step 2: Make the Oat Crust

  2. Use the parchment paper overhang to lift the bars out of the pan. Cut into squares and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Tips for Success

  • Use fresh lemons : Freshly squeezed lemon juice and zest provide the best flavor. Avoid bottled lemon juice for this recipe.
  • Don’t overmix the crust : Overmixing can make the crust tough. Mix just until the ingredients come together.
  • Storage : Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. They also freeze well for up to 2 months.

Serving Suggestions

  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving for an elegant touch.
  • Pair with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.

Enjoy these Lemon Crumb Bars —a zesty, buttery, and perfectly balanced dessert that’s sure to brighten any day!
